What are we doing throughout this crisis?

COVID 19

Our termly classes  paused in March due to the threat and restrictions of Coronavirus.

We instead offered FREE Online Dance classes every Sunday at 2pm  on our Facebook and Instagram Pages before reopening at Alford House in Kennington.

We are now able to REOPEN again from April 18th! We are unable to accept new students at this point due to COVID guidelines other than for MINI B'S (age 4-7) where we are launching a second class! Get in touch to find out more!

If you are able to donate to help us survive this crisis then please do so at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/thebouryacademycic

ABOUT US

The Boury Academy CIC has been set up to try and provide a more affordable alternative to other theatre schools.

The Boury Academy was born after working with the Children at Henry Facwett Primary school and seeing the talent that they had. We wanted to set up a place where the children from Henry Fawcett, and other local schools, could develop their talents and have the opportunity to experience professional training. We want to provide somewhere for them to continue dancing once they have left primary school, to create a support network for them to draw on throughout their school years and to help them should they wish to pursue a career in performing arts.

Performing Arts builds skills that are transferable to lots of different aspects of life. From confidence and creativity to health and fitness and  self expression. The Boury Academy aims to create a community of children of all different age groups, and from different schools within the borough, and to provide a constructive place to be and goals to aim towards.

A career in Performing Arts should not be out of reach for any child that has the courage and determination to pursue it...

The Boury Academy Board Members are; Caroline Boury, Rakesh Boury, Sasha Venmore- Rowland and Kage Douglas.

We are delighted to be supported by various organisations.
